1. Introduction
1.1 These terms govern your use of the Tutor Today website, applications and services (the Platform), including finding and booking micro-classes and one-to-one sessions, participating in live online lessons, messaging Tutors, and using AI-enabled study tools (the Services).
1.2 “Tutor Today”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to TAP EGO LTD (trading as Tutor Today), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10559197) with its registered office at 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom. Our up-to-date contact methods are listed on the Website’s contact page.
1.3 You may use the Platform as a Student (or Parent/Guardian for an under-18) and/or as a Tutor. By registering or using the Platform, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1.4 If you accept these terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that entity.
1.5 Key definitions appear in Section 20.
2. What We Provide
2.1 An online marketplace and infrastructure where Students can book micro-classes (typically 4–5 learners) and one-to-one sessions, communicate with Tutors, attend an integrated online classroom, and access assistive AI tools (e.g., Toby).
2.2 We maintain booking, messaging and payment rails; schedules; and an online classroom (via third-party providers). We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance and outages may occur.
2.3 We use reasonable endeavours to keep the Platform secure and free of malware.
2.4 Where displayed, “Background Check” badges indicate evidence supplied by the Tutor; you remain responsible for your own diligence and must not leave a child in a Tutor’s sole care.
2.5 Payments are processed via approved payment processors (e.g., Stripe and/or PayPal). We handle receipts, refunds (where due) and failed payments in accordance with these terms.
2.6 We may monitor postings and in-Platform messages to enforce these terms and for safety, quality and fraud prevention.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Keep your account secure; tell us immediately if you suspect compromise. You’re responsible for actions via your account until we are notified.
3.2 Do not post or send unlawful, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable content.
3.3 Use accurate information and comply with our Privacy Policy and Safeguarding Policy.

3.5 Do not record lessons with external tools or share Platform recordings outside the Platform.
3.6 We may suspend/terminate accounts for breach and cancel affected bookings.

4.3 Review bookings, including those Tutors propose on your behalf, inside the Platform.
4.4 Do not request or enable cheating (coursework/exam completion by others).
4.5 AI outputs are assistive and may be imperfect; you remain responsible for your academic work.
5. Tutors
5.1 Tutors are independent, self-employed providers (not employees of TAP EGO LTD) and are responsible for tax, insurance, immigration/work status and professional compliance.
5.2 Tutors must be 18+, provide accurate profile information, disclose relevant criminal cautions/convictions, and maintain a valid background-check status where displayed.
5.3 Tutors set their own one-to-one rates but must not undercut the Platform for Students met via the Platform (see 7.11).
5.4 All meetings, trials or paid sessions with Students found via the Platform must be booked through the Platform.
5.5 Tutors must have suitable equipment/connectivity, arrive on time, and deliver sessions professionally and in line with our Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.

7. Booking, Subscriptions & Conduct
7.1 A booking is confirmed once payment details are stored and the booking is issued/accepted in the Platform. A booking creates a direct contract between Student and Tutor for teaching; we act as booking/payment agent.
7.2 Subscriptions: For subscription products (e.g., weekly micro-classes), billing auto-renews at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled in your account. UK/EU cooling-off rights may apply (13.5); if you request services to start within the cooling-off period, you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that statutory rights may be reduced or lost once fully performed.
7.3 You are responsible for joining on time and ensuring you can access the online classroom.
7.4 Classroom behaviour must be respectful, inclusive and safe. We may remove participants who breach conduct expectations without a refund.
7.5 We may reschedule for operational reasons; where we do, we’ll offer a reasonable alternative or refund for the affected session(s) if no suitable alternative is available.
7.6 Logistical communications must occur via in-Platform messaging.
7.7 Do not share classroom links outside your cohort or enable unregistered attendance.
7.8 Parents remain responsible for supervising under-18s and ensuring a safe environment at home.
7.9 We may reasonably refuse/cancel bookings for safety, compliance or non-payment.
